UltraWood featured on ‘Secret Celebrity Renovation’
Calhoun, Ga.-Designers selected Mohawk’s UltraWood for homes on the CBS show “Secret Celebrity Renovation.” In the new CBS reality series, big names in sports, music and entertainment get the chance to gift a surprising home renovation to a loved one that has led them to success.
Chosen for the Wayne Brady and Eve segments, UltraWood is designed to provide the authentic, classic grain patterns found only in natural wood, but now with added durability and reliability. UltraWood provides complete waterproof protection from surface to subfloor and is also built to withstand scratches, scuffs and dings.
“After working with the show’s design team and learning about the different spaces, using UltraWood’s Crosby Cove collection was the perfect choice for these deserving homeowners,” said Seth Arnold, Mohawk’s vice president of marketing, wood and laminate. “Launched this year, UltraWood will give them the high performance they need, along with the real hardwood look they can’t get anywhere else. We are excited to see and follow the revelations to see what the stars are doing during the renovation process.”
The show’s premiere was Wayne Brady, the popular actor and talk show host of The Wayne Brady Show. Brady worked with Entertainment Tonight host Nischelle Turner, Man Cave contractor Jason Cameron, and Trading Spaces interior designer, Sabrina Soto, on his aunt’s home in Orlando, Florida. His aunt helped raise him along with his grandmother and still holds a special place in Brady’s heart.
The second surprise makeover with UltraWood was for Eve, a Grammy-winning recording artist and talk show host, who gives back to her mother in Philadelphia. As a single mother, she made sure that Eva did not go down a difficult road and acted as a second mother to Eva’s friends. As a token of appreciation, Eve surprised her mother with innovative floors designed to last a lifetime.
