Tarkett expands manufacturing footprint – Floor Covering News

vinylasaSolon, Ohio—Tarkett, a global leader in innovative flooring and sports surface solutions, has completed the acquisition of Vinylasa, a vinyl composite tile (VCT) manufacturer based in Mexico City, Mexico.

With this acquisition Tarkett will transfer VCT production from its location in Florence, Ala. to the Vinylasa location in Mexico. This transition is expected to be complete by the end of the year, with all VCT products ahead of Tarkett North America manufactured at the Mexico City location as of 2022.

Vinylasa specializes in manufacturing continuous pattern VCT tiles and has been supplying high quality products to the North American market for over 50 years. The addition of Vinylasa makes: Tarkett to increase its competitiveness with VCT in the North American market, the company said, strategically positioning the company to better serve the needs of its customers.
