Roofing kit and material stolen from Workington primary school

Tools, roofing and equipment were stolen from an elementary school in Workington.

Police are investigating after it was reported that a metal shipping container was on the grounds of Northside Primary School. Workington, was broken into Thursday night.

Thieves are believed to have broken in between 3.40pm on Thursday and 7.40am on Friday.

The school is making repairs to the roof.

Police are calling on witnesses who may have seen suspicious persons or vehicles in the area around the time of the crime.

The agents also rely on relevant camera, doorbell or dashcam images that can support the investigation.

Two men were in the area between 1 and 2 p.m. Thursday, described as six feet tall and stocky build, one wearing an orange hi-vis vest and the other a black T-shirt.

Police would like to get in touch with these men or anyone who can identify them.
