Garrett L. Brown, 58, died Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC.
Garrett was born on September 12, 1962, to the late Gary and Betty Saunders Brown. He was a graduate of North Moore High School and trained as a plumber. He worked for First Line Plumbing and later had his own company, Browns Plumbing. Garrett enjoyed working with his hands and was a talented woodworker. He also loved hunting and being outdoors. Garrett was always happy to see the work he’d done coming together in a new home for families he knew. The time he spent with his family was important, especially the time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Lucille Gattis, Damon Smith, Garry Ray Smith.
Garret is survived by wife Pepi; daughters: Kayly Brown Lindley and husband Clay; Carla Brown; stepsons: Mario Stratta, Davis Stratta; grandchildren: Elin, Brie, Wren, Octavia; brother Wayne Smith and wife Patty; many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service at the graveside will be on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Mt Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3925 Old Carthage Road, Carthage, NC 28327; with Reverend Jason Whitehurst on duty.
