This is a great opportunity to join a high profile congregation focused on delivering the best results. We are currently reducing our use of subcontractors, so we are building a talented multi-disciplinary workforce, who will work in our buildings and in our residents’ homes to deliver scheduled works and a gold star repair service. You will be primarily involved in residential plumbing and ensure that our residents are all treated as customers. Working on everything from 28-storey tower blocks to double-fronted townhouses, you learn the idiosyncrasies of each house and strive to provide an initial solution that solves the problem. You work methodically through each challenge, making recommendations to supervisors and getting their approval before doing various works. You are focused on ensuring performance targets are met and enjoy sharing knowledge with other members of the team.

To make the most of this great opportunity, you must have a minimum of five years of plumbing experience. While a background in a social housing environment would be helpful, it is not essential, but you should have experience working in residents’ homes. Because you’ll be working with a plumbing, carpentry, and electrical team, you’ll have the capacity to both manage your own workload and collaborate with other colleagues to get the job done. As such, you are a team player with excellent communication skills and are IT literate. preferably you have knowledge of high-rise heating and water systems and you are able to make autonomous decisions. With the ability to understand construction drawings and specifications, you will also be well versed in building regulations and compliance, plus a working knowledge of health and safety legal legislation. You like to learn and develop through the training program and also need a driver’s license because you are in possession of a company car, a fuel card and a tool set.
