Ecore receives sustainability recognition – Floor Covering News

ecoreLancaster, Pa.-As the industry leader in recycled product technology, Ecore has expanded its record of sustainability recognitions with two new awards. The company has been nominated for an international Recircle Award and was recently ranked as a Sustainability Leader by the MindClick Environmental Health Index.

Based in Germany, the second annual Recircle Awards is a global event designed to recognize the contribution of companies and individuals in the tire manufacturing, retreading and recycling industries to a circular economy. Ecore has been nominated as one of the best companies in the industry in the “Best Tire Derived Recycled Product” category.

Additionally, Ecore recently completed the MindClick Sustainability assessment program, which the company believes has resulted in an impressive ranking of sustainability leaders. MindClick assesses the environmental health performance of a manufacturer and its products to drive transparency and innovation in organizations and supply chains to meet global demand for healthier products and environments. As a leader in sustainability, Ecore is recognized for its exemplary use of environmental and social responsibility practices throughout the lifecycle of all product lines – from material selection to end-of-life solutions and all products with third-party certifications.

To further emphasize the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability, Ecore recently achieved environmental claim validations from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for two of its manufacturing facilities after completing a 2020 Zero Waste to Landfill audit for its Pennsylvania-based facilities in Lancaster and York. .
