Domotex set to restart in 2022
Hanover, Germany—Domotex, a leading trade fair for carpets and floor coverings, will resume in 2022. The event will take place here in the southern part of the Hannover Exhibition Center from January 13-16, 2022, with several virtual participation options also available.
As a compact trade show in Halls 11, 12 and 13, the show organizers said admission is governed by “3G” regulations (“3G” is a German acronym that stands for proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative COVID-19 test result) and strict health and hygiene measures throughout the site.
“Many of our exhibitors and market partners are very interested in getting back together to kick things up a gear again,” explains Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director Domotex at Deutsche Messe. “Others still face pandemic-related challenges and risks that they see as potentially limiting when it comes to participating on the ground. This means that many exhibitors have decided not to participate in Domotex again until January 2023. Despite this, we have chosen to take a confident and forward-looking approach by organizing Domotex in 2022.”
On-site event with options for virtual attendance
According to the show’s organizers, anyone who cannot travel to the show in person can participate virtually. The Domotex TV format launched on the previous Domotex has been expanded. It now includes an online conference program for the duration of the show, with live presentations, interviews and panel discussions.
Support for the flooring industry
“We are delighted that Domotex will go live again in 2022,” said Wernfried Fesenberg, Managing Director of Schlau Heimtex Einkaufs GmbH. “Exhibitions are essential platforms for identifying and buying new products for our range and for networking with industry peers. Over the past 18 months, we have been starved of face-to-face communication opportunities, so we and our buyers are really looking forward to attending Domotex in January.”
Knutzen Wohnen GmbH will also be present at the fair. According to Peter Knutzen, Managing Director of Knutzen Wohnen GmbH, the company will be there to see the latest innovations and experience new products in context, something the company is not used to when suppliers come to visit.
Measures to prevent hygiene and infection
For every aspect of the Domotex experience, the show’s organizers said measures have been taken to ensure the health and well-being of all participants in on-site restaurants, in the exhibition halls and even in hotels. Admission to Domotex is subject to proof of immunization, recovery or negative test results from COVID-19.
