Consumers Make Push For Trial In Toyota Camry HVAC Suit

Law360 (July 13, 2021, 7:45 PM EDT) — Consumers pursuing a proposed class action over alleged defective air conditioning systems in select Toyota Camry models urged a federal judge in Florida on Tuesday to let their case go to trial come, arguing that they have provided sufficient evidence for a jury to rule in their favor.

At a hearing in Miami, consumers said that as the court issued summary judgments from the defendants – Toyota Motor Corp. and several of its subsidiaries, along with Southeast Toyota Distributors LLC – it should make all the inferences in favor of the plaintiffs.
