Chryston locals suffering from vile sewage floods to benefit from £2.2m plumbing plan

RESIDENTS suffering from nasty sewage flooding should take advantage of planned works to address the problem.

Scottish Water is spending around £ 2.2 million to install an underground rainwater tank at Crow Wood Terrace, Chryston.

Georgina Reid, the area’s head of business affairs, warned locals that there would be ‘some’ traffic disruption, but said the work was vital to prevent nasty wastewater flows, which she said caused ‘much suffering’ to those affected. .

No date has yet been set for the project.
