America’s Floor Source acquires The Flooring Gallery

America's Floor SourceColumbus, Ohio America’s Floor Source has acquired The Flooring Gallery, a renowned flooring retailer in the Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky areas. The acquisition includes stores, design centers, warehouses, inventory and other assets of The Flooring Gallery.

“By adding The Flooring Gallery to the America’s Floor Source family, we will expand our presence and offerings in Louisville and also enter the Lexington market,” said Jason Goldberg, founder and CEO of America’s Floor Source.

America’s Floor Source currently operates in Columbus, Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Louisville. The current AFS location in Louisville is primarily focused on serving homebuilders and property management companies. Goldberg said this acquisition will enable AFS to offer the same complete range of products and services that the company offers in other markets. “First, we can better serve homebuilders and their customers with a complete design center in Louisville,” Goldberg said. “In addition, we will now also have a real retail presence to offer full-service flooring solutions to homeowners – we will be launching a wholesale business in both Louisville and Lexington, which has proven to be an important part of our business in other markets. ”

Nick Freadreacea, president of The Flooring Gallery, said he’s excited about what AFS and Goldberg will bring to the table. “Everyone here is really excited about the two teams coming together. I love the processes and innovation America’s Floor Source has developed and uses. Jason and the AFS team are sure to be great custodians of what we’ve created here over the past 21 years. I look forward to working with Jason during this transition and to see him and his team take things to another level in the coming years.”

The Flooring Gallery has been in business since 2000 and has five locations, 28 employees and annual revenue of $10 million in 2021. Following the acquisition, America’s Floor Source now employs 400 people in three states, with expected annual revenue in 2021 of $167. million.

In addition to The Flooring Gallery’s showrooms and design center, Goldberg said he also plans to expand his fleet of Mobile Floor Source vehicles in Louisville and to Lexington so homeowners can shop with confidence from the comfort of their own homes. “In other cities, retail has become an important part of our business,” explains Goldberg. “And with the addition of these established retail locations and our Mobile Floor Source fleet, we can immediately do the same in these markets. At once, we will have multiple homeowner showrooms, as well as design centers for custom homebuilders and their customers.”
